My Mother's Baked Beans

1 large can pork and beans

1 c. catsup

1 tsp. mustard

1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce

2 Tbsp. brown sugar

6 slices salt bacon

1 large onion, chopped

1 green bell pepper

Mix catsup, mustard, Worcestershire sauce and brown sugar, stir into beans and pour into buttered baking dish. Arrange bacon slices on top. Bake at 300 degrees for 2 to 3 hours.

You may also replace the catsup with your favorite barbecue sauce, but you may have to adjust the amount of brown sugar. Some barbecue sauces are quite sweet.

Yield: 8-10 servings.
